In this episode I chat with Heather Condren, a florist and former social care worker who started Flowerpop after she won a scholarship from Kay's Flower School in Dublin. She lives and works in Inchicore in Dublin with her husband and two-year-old son. In the absolute shit storm that is COVID there have been some bright bits and Heathers is one of them. A pandemic will force reassessment of a lot of things and Heather found her love of flowers led her to a brand new florist business that is taking Dublin by storm. She tells us all about her journey, her fears, imposter syndrome and how she managed to push through all of it to create Flowerpop. In this episode I chat with Blessing Dada. Blessing is a student in Youth & Community Development at Technological University Dublin. She is an outspoken, passionate activist on all sorts of social justice issues, especially mental health awareness (with her own lived experiences) among Black and other ethnic minority communities in Ireland. She is also involved in organisations such as SpunOut and See Change. I enjoyed our conversation so much. As a young Black Irish/Nigerian woman, her lived experiences are vital to understanding the lack of supports for people of colour here in Ireland in the world of mental health. As a therapist, I learned a lot during our chat about inclusivity and the importance of stepping outside my own privilege. Enjoy x

Welcome back to season 3. I was not planning to do more episodes but thanks to the guest on todays episode here we are! I speak with Sian Horn, Entrepreneur, founder of multiple companies including The Club, business support and learning network for women in business. Motivator, speaker and podcaster of BeBelle podcast. We packed a lot into our 40 mins. Sian shared her love of empowerment and supporting women and where that love came from. Managing her own business through lockdown, missing family and a whole load of insight into her world. We also tackled online toxic groups and how we wish they didn't exist. Sian was the one who encouraged me to do season 3 of My Yellow Couch and I am so glad that she did. It was lovely to begin the season with her as my guest. Enjoy.
