Truck driver Richard Satchwell has gone on trial for the murder of his wife Tina, whose remains were discovered under the floorboards of their Cork home almost six years after she disappeared. The trial at the Central Criminal Court is expected to hear 100 witnesses and last up to six weeks. The extraordinary murder of border drug dealer Paddy Farrell by his young lover Lorraine Farrell in Drogheda in 1997 lies at the heart of a new book written by award-winning Irish author Eoin McNamee.
